MAra

Hiya

Sorry for lack of blog posts. Been a very busy week and we didn't get much access to internet. Just a quick message before breakfast (its 7am) and then heading out for game drive out of Mara back to Nairobi for last days. Had a superb time at Childrens home last weekend etc, did loads of painting and new hall looks fab!

Mara has been great to get away for a few days and think we needed a mini break, although I'm sure us leaders would agree, I don't think we ever get a break!!!!! But its been good. Lots of stories fromthe Mara but basically to sum up, had a STICKY situation with some lions and almost left Gemma in tanzania!

Few people not been well this week, which has been tough, pray for health, hopwefully all will be well for last days. Sad we are coming home, but I think everyone is looking forward to seeing famuilies again.

From our man in Africa.....

  3. Hi Everyone, especially Florrie
We've loved all your news from Kenya. Every tit-bit has been read and re-read to wring out all the facts. We've been thinking about you all every day. I don't think we'll ever be able to appreciate what you've done and gone through, unless we went to Cheryl's. So be gentle with us when you come back.

This has been a long journey, with all of the fundraising and the excitement leading up to the trip. Now you will be looking ahead to coming back to Scotland. If anything, I hope that what you've seen and done will be with you the rest of your lives. You've been witnesses to the reality of this amazing world. A lot of it will be confusing, because it certainly is for those of us who are older.
Have a brilliant last few days and come back ready to share your stories with us. We CAN'T wait.

God bless you all (and a hug for Florrie)

  4. Fantastic to hear from you and that despite some illnesses we are glad the Kenyan lions are not benefitting from some Scottish nutrition! We do hope those folk recover in time to have a comfortable journey home. As said above we can't wait to hear all the stories of the trip and all about the children. God bless you all and have a good journey home.
